What does this train?
Schulte tables were developed by a German psychiatrist in the 1950s. Searching for numbers while keeping your gaze still trains peripheral vision, sustained attention, and visual scanning speed — the same skills used in fluent reading.
A typical adult finishes a 5×5 table in 30–45 seconds. Children 6–10 usually start around 80–120 seconds and reach 50–60 seconds after a few weeks of daily practice.
How to play
- Press Start. The timer begins immediately.
- Tap numbers in order: 1, 2, 3, … all the way to 25.
- Try to keep your eyes on the centre square — peripheral vision finds the rest.
